What is Dragon Joust?

Dragon Joust (commonly known as DragonJoust.io) is an arcade-style multiplayer battle arena game developed by Blue Wizard Digital, the team behind BasketBros and Shell Shockers. Spawning into the sky on the back of a mythical dragon, you are armed with a massive jousting lance. Your objective is to navigate chaotic aerial skirmishes, outfly rival riders, and strike opponents to knock them out of the sky. As you eliminate players and collect their dropped gold, your lance dynamically scales in size, turning you into a formidable aerial titan.

🎮 Gameplay Overview

• Flappy Physics & Momentum: Flight mechanics utilize an arcade physics engine reminiscent of Flappy Bird. Maintaining altitude, managing drops, and controlling your turn radius are crucial to lining up clean strikes.

• Vertical Collision Priority: Combat rules are dictated by vertical alignment. The player who positions their dragon's head and lance higher than their opponent's hitbox at the moment of impact wins the collision.

• Loot & Growth Economy: Defeated players shatter into scattered coins and glowing orbs. Absorbing these resources increases your scoreboard placement, grows your weapon's reach, and temporarily buffs your dragon's scale.

• Enforce the Absolute High Ground: This is the golden rule of Dragon Joust. If your dragon is even a single pixel higher than your opponent during a collision, your lance will unseat them while your own shield remains intact. Prioritize small, controlled taps of your Flap inputs to constantly hover just above the active cluster of fighters.

• Swoop and Vacuum Loot Loops: Don't let your hard-earned gold drift away into the abyss. The moment you secure a knockout, immediately hold S / Down Arrow to enter a dive loop. Sucking up Blue Orbs doesn't just increase your score—it actively expands your dragon's size, health pool, and physical lance hitbox for subsequent fights.

• Maintain an Energy Dash Buffer: It is incredibly easy to get carried away spamming your speed boost to chase low-health targets. However, draining your energy bar entirely leaves you a sitting duck for high-altitude dive-bombers. Always keep at least 25% of your energy meter filled so you can instantly dash horizontally out of harm's way if an opponent targets you from off-screen.

• Weaponize Arena Wall Bounces: The borders of the arena aren't just invisible walls—they are tactical elastic barriers. If a fast, aggressive chaser is locked onto your tail, fly directly toward the perimeter and smash into it. The engine will "bounce" your dragon backwards into a lightning-fast 180-degree turn, pointing your lance directly at your pursuer's face before they can adjust their steering.
